The single peaked at #3 in the U.S. and #34 in the U.K. The song details a drag race between a Super-Stock 413 cu. in.-powered 1962 Dodge Dart and a fuel injected 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The song was originally credited to just Wilson and Christian. Mike Love's name was added as a result of a lawsuit filed by him against Wilson in the 1990s.
