"The Prayer" is a duet between Cline Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It's the second single from Dion's Christmas album These Are Special Times and first from Bocelli's album Sogno, which sold over 10 million albums world wide. It was released as a promotional single on March 1, 1999. "The Prayer" won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song from the Quest for Camelot movie in 1999. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1999 and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2000. Dion performed it with Bocelli at both ceremonies. First, "The Prayer" was recorded as two separate solo versions, Dion's in English and Bocelli's in Italian. They appeared on the Quest for Camelot soundtrack in May 1998. The duet was included on both artists albums, released few months later. It was also featured on Dion's compilation The Collector's Series, Volume One.    Download this sheet!

Andrea Bocelli (born 22 September 1958) is an Italian operatic pop tenor and a classical crossover singer who has also performed in operas. To date; he has recorded six complete operas (La bohme; Il trovatore; Werther; Pagliacci; Cavalleria rusticana and Tosca) in addition to various classical and pop albums. He has sold 60 million albums worldwide thus far. Born with congenital glaucoma; Bocelli became totally blind at the age of twelve; after a football accident.In reality; the world is full of great voices and I had the opportunity to sing with so many artists; from Christina Aguilera to Bono. But; if I would like to look for a new voice; I would push for Charice; a girl from the Philippines that only at 15 yrs old is a flush force of nature.
