About the Artist
Dan Bigras (born December 23, 1958 in Montreal, Quebec) is a francophone rock singer from Canada. He was discovered by Gerry Boulet in 1983, and his first album Ange Animal was released in 1990. He is the spokesman of Refuge des Jeunes de Montral (meaning Refuge of Montreal's young people), an agency to help homeless and at-risk youth. The organisation produces le show du Refuge each year. He starred in a pair of CBC miniseries dramas about Canadian biker gangs called The Last Chapter (TV series), (2000) and The Last Chapter II: The War Continues (TV series), (2002) as Roots Racine, the impetuous leader of the Montreal chapter of the Triple Sixers, a fictional group loosely based on the Hells Angels.
