Pink has stated that the main inspiration behind the track is her husband, Carey Hart. Its music video, directed by longtime collaborator Dave Meyers, delivers a controversial message against cutting and suicide. The song charted in several regions before its official release, and has so far reached the Top 10 in Australia and the Top 40 in the United States.
