Theme music for Somewhere in Time is a 1980 time travel romance film directed by Jeannot Szwarc, written  by Richard Matheson and starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour, Christopher Plummer, Teresa Wright and including an early appearance by then-unknown William H. Macy. John Barry won a Saturn Award for best Music in 1980 for this work. The movie was filmed on location at the Grand Hotel, and the former Mackinac College - both located on Mackinac Island, Michigan. It was also filmed in Chicago. John Barry; OBE (born John Barry Prendergast on 3 November 1933 in York; England) is a renowned Golden Globe and five-time Academy Award-winning English film score composer.In his tenure with the film series; Barry-s music; variously brassy and moody; appealed to film aficionados; as witnessed in the sales of the soundtrack albums.
