Westlife is an Irish pop band that was formed on July 3; 1998. They were signed on by Simon Cowell and are currently managed by Louis Walsh. Over the years; Westlifes music has evolved from teen pop to an adult contemporary sound; with an emphasis on ballads.The groups original lineup comprised of Nicky Byrne; Kian Egan; Mark Feehily; Shane Filan; and Bryan McFadden. Filan and Feehily are the bands lead vocalists; McFadden; before his departure; also contributed lead vocals. Some of the members can play musical instruments: Egan (drums; guitar; piano); McFadden (guitar; piano) and Feehily (tin whistle; piano). "Swear It Again" is a song by Westlife, released as the band's first single. It peaked at #1 in the UK, moving 182,000 units in the first two weeks of its release. This making it the first of fourteen UK number 1 hit singles.
