About the Song
"Alive" is the other part of the double A-side along with "I'm Gonna Be Alright" (Track Masters Remix), the second and final single from Jennifer Lopez's remix album, J to tha L-O!: The Remixes (2002). Released in 2002, the single failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 due to its limited release, becoming Lopez's second single to do so after 1999's "No Me Ames". However, the song's Thunderpuss remixes topped the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart and became another Hot Dance Club Play hit for her, peaking at number two. The music video was directed by Jim Gable. The ballad was written by Lopez, her then-husband, Cris Judd, and Cory Rooney (who produced the track with Dan Shea). "Alive" was written for the soundtrack to Lopez's film Enough (although not included on its soundtrack album). Following the themes of the film, the song describes the struggles of battered women, who are able to overcome.    Download this sheet!
