Jamie Cullum (born 20 August 1979) is a British pop and jazz-pop singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist and drummer. "Everlasting Love" is a song written by Buzz Cason and Mac Gayden. The song was first a hit for soul singer Robert Knight in 1967. It was also recorded by several other artists in the years since. The song was a Top 10 hit for Carl Carlton in 1974, a Top 40 hit for Rex Smith and Rachel Sweet in 1981, a Top 10 Album rock song forU2 in 1989, and a Top 10 hit for Gloria Estefan in 1995. There is also a different Rufus/Chaka Khan tune of the same name (recorded by Vanessa L. Williams). Yet another song of the same name was recorded in 1960 by the late Toni Fisher (b/w The Red Sea of Mars). This song should also not to be confused with Andy Gibb's similarly-titled 1978 hit "An Everlasting Love." Covers include the reworking by jazz artist Jamie Cullum, a charity version by the stars of the British TV medical drama Casualty, and versions by Carl Carlton.
