It has also been recorded by Louis Prima & Keely Smith, Cab Calloway, Josephine Baker, Lee Wiley, Steve Barton, Michael Bolton, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Dinah Washington, Michael Bubl, Katharine McPhee, James Darren, Cesare Siepi, Al Bowlly, Neneh Cherry, Bill Evans, Jim Hall and many others. Cherry's rendition was recorded for the Red Hot + Blue charity album, and reached number 25 in the UK pop charts. Written in 1936, it was introduced in the Eleanor Powell MGM musical, Born to Dance in which it was performed by Virginia Bruce. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song that year.
