3 Doors Down is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Escatawpa, Mississippi, by Brad Arnold (vocals and drums), Matt Roberts (guitar) and Todd Harrell (bass). The band signed to Universal Records after the success of their song "Kryptonite". The band has since sold well over 15 million albums worldwide since their debut album, The Better Life, which was released in 2000. "Kryptonite" is a song by American rock band 3 Doors Down. It was originally released as a demo for local play by FM 97.9 (WCPR) in Biloxi, Mississippi. Later, it was recorded for their first major label album The Better Life. It was successful on the Modern Rock Tracks, staying at number one for 11 consecutive weeks, becoming their first song to do so, and also charting at number one on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for 9 consecutive weeks.
