3 Doors Down is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Escatawpa, Mississippi, by Brad Arnold (vocals and drums), Matt Roberts (guitar) and Todd Harrell (bass). The band signed to Universal Records after the success of their song "Kryptonite". The band has since sold well over 15 million albums worldwide since their debut album, The Better Life, which was released in 2000. "Here Without You" is the third single from the album Away from the Sun by 3 Doors Down.
It was one of the longest charting singles in history on AT40 (American Top 40) and it charted in the top 40 for around 60 weeks, peaking at #5. Only Kryptonite and When I'm Gone reached higher positions. It has since been certified 4x Platinum in the United States and Platinum in Australia. Along with "When I'm Gone", it proved to be the most successful single from the band's Away from the Sun album.
