Mae is an American rock band (except for Dave Elkins from Dublin; Ireland) that formed in Norfolk; Virginia in 2001. The bands name is an acronym for Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience; based on a course taken by drummer Jacob Marshall while a student at Old Dominion University.On September 24; 2007 Mark and Rob parted ways with Mae. The two replacement members for touring are 20-year-old Josiah Schlater on bass and Robert Smith on keyboards. Schlater and Smith are members of the band Tokyo; also from Virginia Beach. The Sun and the Moon is track number 14 from The Everglow, the second full-length studio album released by American emo band Mae.
