Kesha Rose Sebert (born March 1, 1987), better known mononymously as Kesha (stylized as Ke$ha) is an American recording artist. Although she began her music career in 2006, her breakthrough came in early 2009 after appearing on Flo Rida's number one single, "Right Round." Kesha's debut single, "Tik Tok" was released in August 2009, preceding the release of her debut album, Animal, in early 2010. Kesha was born in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles to a single parent. Her mother, Pebe Sebert, a singer and songwriter, was struggling financially while supporting Kesha and her older brother at the time. "We R Who We R" is set to be released as the album's lead single on October 25, 2010. Cannibal is the upcoming first extended play (EP) by American recording artist Kesha, set to be released on November 22, 2010. The EP is a follow up companion to her previous record, Animal. Originally the record was set to only be released as a deluxe edition of Animal, but was instead sold and released as both an EP and a deluxe edition of Animal. Kesha worked with a variety of producers and writers such as Dr. Luke as the executive producer, Benny Blanco, Ammo, Max.
