"Rockin' the Suburbs" is a song by Ben Folds on the album of the same name. It is Ben Folds' biggest solo hit so far, gaining radio and MTV airplay (though "Landed" and "Bitches Ain't Shit" achieved higher chart positions on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., this was mostly due to their popularity on the iTunes Music Store rather than radio airplay). It was written by Ben Folds as an attack on Nu metal and the aggressive, complanatory nature of this style of music. In concerts Folds has stated that if Stevie Wonder could write happy songs in the 60s as a blind, black man, then Nu-metal bands have no right to complain about their white, suburban existence in their music. The song alludes to Michael Jackson, Quiet Riot and Bon Jovi. There is also a brief commentary about slavery. Ben Folds Five was an alternative rock trio formed in 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The group comprised Ben Folds.    Download this sheet!
About the Artist
Ben Folds Five was an alternative rock trio formed in 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The group comprised Ben Folds on vocals, piano, and principal songwriting; Robert Sledge played bass and provided backing vocals; and Darren Jessee played drums, sang backing vocals and co-wrote some of the songs. The group achieved modest success in the alternative, indie and pop music scenes. The band is best known for the hit single "Brick" from their 1997 album Whatever and Ever Amen, which gained airplay on many mainstream radio stations. Much of Ben Folds Five's work was influenced by jazz, evident in frequent improv-styled passages through bridge and/or ending. During their seven years together, the band released three proper studio records, one retrospective album of B-sides & outtakes, and eight singles. They also contributed to a number of soundtracks and compilations. Ben Folds Five disbanded in October 2000, apparently under amicable circumstances. The group reunited for a one-off concert on September 18, 2008, where they played their final album, The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, in its entirety. "Rockin' the Suburbs" is a song by.

Later on, when bands started performing, music sheets were back in vogue as a means to recreate these old compositions. What is it? Sheet music is nothing but a written notation of the piano notes. Depending on what musical composition the sheet music is for, the musical notes written will also differ. Most people have a wrong notion that it is only the popular compositions, which have recorded onto sheet music piano. However, several unfamiliar compositions have also been recorded using sheet music.  (More...)
