Kristinia DeBarge (born March 8, 1990) is an American R&B singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of James DeBarge, a founding member of 1980s R&B family group DeBarge. DeBarge began singing when she was 3 years old, but did not begin to take it seriously until she was 12. When she was 12, her father took her into the recording studio. They worked until 4 a.m. recording a duet. This was when DeBarge proved to her father that she was serious about a singing career. DeBarge is of African, White, Native American and Mexican descent. At 13, she was first introduced to the nation. During the summer of 2003 she was a contestant on the American Idol spin-off, American Juniors. "Goodbye" is the debut single of American R&B-pop singer-songwriter, Kristinia DeBarge from her debut studio album Exposed. It was released to US iTunes on April 7, 2009 and to U.S. pop radio on April 28, 2009. The song premiered on the UK's Radio 1 on June 21, 2009 and has now been confirmed for an official CD single release in the UK on August 10, 2009.
