Bieber worked a variety of producers and writers such as his mentor, Usher, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Midi Mafia and more. The songs are mostly inspired by teen romance and typical coming of age situations, and musically the album is R&B influenced pop. The album received positive reviews from critics, and peaked at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 137,000 copies in its first week, which was at the time, the best opening release for a new artist in 2009, until the record was topped by Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream. Justin Drew Bieber (born on March 14, 1994) is a pop singer from Stratford, Ontario, Canada. He began his professional career on YouTube, where his future manager, Scooter Braun, discovered his talent. Braun flew Bieber to Atlanta, Georgia to consult with Usher and soon signed a record deal with Island Records. In July 2009, Bieber's debut single "One Time" was released. The single is currently rising and has peaked at number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 and 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
